Born and raised in South Carolina, I was steeped in history and lore through reading everything I could get my hands on and listening to my father spin tales over the dinner table and on our travels. I haunt bookstores and coffee shops now, listening to the stories unfold around me and try to capture the humanness of this world through the voices of these characters.
